KINGDOM WARFARE: WHEN SOLDIERS MEET;

 


Recently, I met a soldier from the Uganda People’s Defence Forces. We talked soldier matters; boots, discipline, infantry, artillery. But as we spoke, something deeper stirred. I realized: I’m a soldier too. Not in the UPDF, but in the Kingdom of Christ.


We connected as kin. Like minds. Two warriors, trained in different terrains, yet fighting for truth. I hope he calls me one day so we can share more about Jesus and how to wage spiritual war; the kind whose victory is a changed heart and a transformed life.

In the army, soldiers don’t entangle themselves in civilian affairs. Their focus is mission-critical. Likewise, in the Kingdom, we’re called to live above distractions. As Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2:4:


“No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.”
