WHY WE STAY IN RELATIONSHIPS THAT STEAL FROM US

 

I was talking to someone who told me that they were in love with another who had so many rules because of their insecurities and kept a watchful eye on their every move.

I clearly told that someone that the issue is with them.

I gave an example: Would you do a business deal with a known thief?

Or if you found out he is a thief later, would you stay in business with him?

You cut off ties when you find out! When you continue in business and you get ripped off, it’s on you.

Continuing to be in a relationship with someone who is stealing from you – your peace, your liberty, etc, – is not on them; it’s on you. People who don’t want to own up blame their partners and put it all on them. But someone who owns up asks themselves the right questions:

1. Which wounds are keeping me in this?

2. What work do I have to do to heal?

3. How do I heal my self-esteem to…
