PADDLE SHIFTERS – THE CAPACITY OF SELF-REGULATION

The paddle shifters are two levers mounted behind the steering wheel that allow an F1 driver to change gears without taking their hands off the wheel. They are one of the reasons modern Formula 1 cars can accelerate efficiently while maintaining precise control.

In the same way, we need something mounted behind our choices inspired by hope (the steering wheel), that allow us to change the intensity we give to certain situations, events, and people. This is the capacity of self-regulation.
